OUR STORY
HOW IT STARTED
Our story begins in 1989 when Josee founded the business in North London. She was the first Black woman to grace the streets of Finsbury Park and bring with her braiding like it has never been before.

She saw a gap in the market and noticed that no salon was exclusively catering to protective styling. Instead the focus was more on relaxers, curly perms and colouring. for that reason, Josee aimed to create a space which focused and specialised solely on braiding and protective styling. ​
​
Fast forward 33 years later and Josee's Braiding Studio LTD has became a household name with many clients ranging from the Saudi Royal family, Diplomats, Celebrities and beloved local residents.
Teaming up with her two lovely daughters and loyal staff they aim and ensure that all clients leave the salon feeling and looking great!
